We are here not for income, but for outcome

[/trx_title]

We are a group of artists who grew up from the slums of Uganda and we are now taking an extra mile doing it for social change in poor communities. We keep
making outreaches in the poor communities searching for children and youth interested in improving there talents to help them break the cycle of poverty. These searches are done by particular leaders under the foundation with their respective skills they are able to offer. We believe that everyone has a talent, skill or ability that he or she can mine in order to change. This impact has helped so many people reveal more of their talents. We kindly request everyone to reach a hand and support our mission.

ART PROGRAM

This program is led by Kisaakye Isaac, an inspiring visionary from Uganda. Isaac grew up in Kosovo, one of the largest slums in Kampala, where opportunities are as rare as sunny days during the monsoon season. From a young age, he observed people in his impoverished community overcoming hardship and achieving success through their talents. These experiences shaped his understanding of the transformative power of talent and inspired him to use his own art as a tool for social change.

Isaac firmly believes that everyone has a unique talent, skill, or ability that can be harnessed to earn a livelihood. The story behind his art is rooted in his mission to revive and celebrate African culture. While Isaac is a Christian, he is deeply concerned about how certain religious teachings in Uganda discourage cultural practices, causing these traditions to fade away. He fears that, if this continues, future generations will lose the opportunity to experience and connect with their cultural heritage.

Through Sanyu African Foundation, Isaac aims to empower children and youth to create art that is deeply connected to their African roots. This art serves not only as an expression of creativity but also as a vital means of preserving cultural traditions. To further this mission, the organization has established a gallery to showcase these culturally rich works, playing an active role in safeguarding and celebrating Africa’s vibrant heritage. Isaac fundraises money for art supplies, rent and meals to feed hungry children that turn up for the program, in addition they as well try to find customers to buy art work and crafts and all profits help more to sustain the cause. please help us in any way you can. God bless you

DANCE PROGRAM

I’m Peter Ssegawa, a dancer heading this program at Sanyu African Foundation. I grew up in a poor village called Nakuwadde, where many children didn’t have the chance to get an education or a better life. I experienced hardship myself after losing my father, fortunately after some years of struggle, I came across an organization in our community that supported me for ten years in school, my love for dance grew during my time there. A volunteer called Grace recognized my talent and encouraged me to pursue it. After the volunteer left, the foundation continued to support my education and I started entertaining volunteers and training other children to dance.
When the foundation’s support ended, I returned home and formed a dance crew with other disadvantaged children. We perform at churches on Sundays to earn money for basic needs and dance supplies.
Now, at 23 years old, I’m dedicated to helping these talented children escape poverty through dance. We need your support to make their dreams a reality. Please donate any amount you can to help these young people build a better future. Thank you for your generosity.
